          July 4- Independence Day

CRK Training Stable to participate in Time to Ride 100 Day Horse Challenge.

The Time To Ride 100 Day Horse Challenge focuses on welcoming newcomers to the world of horses in 100 days as part of nationwide effort.

CRK Training Stable has entered to compete in the 100 Day Horse Challenge by introducing 100 or more new people to horse activities in 100 days, beginning June 1, 2014. The 100 Day Horse Challenge is a program that aims to welcome 100,000 newcomers to horse activities across the country. Created by the Time to Ride initiative, the 100 Day Horse Challenge involves 1,000 hosts like Cheryl R. Kronsberg who believe that horse activities can contribute to the health and well-being of all Americans. The Time to Ride Initiative is the brain child of the American Horse Council.

Cheryl R. Kronsberg of CRK Training Stable offers riding lessons to beginners through advanced students ages 6 years and up. Cheryl is a CHA Certified Master Instructor with over 35 years experience teaching riding. CRK Training Stable has been located in Yorba Linda for the past 15 years.

Cheryl R. Kronsberg believes that horse activities are beneficial to individuals and families in many ways. With the convenience of digital entertainment, many families are slipping away from an active lifestyle and getting caught in a computer-generated reality. Yet, those families that take time to engage in horse activities – perhaps after-school riding lessons for the kids, a girls-day trail ride for mom, a family vacation to a dude ranch, a date with friends to go to the races, or an outing to a horse show – are finding the time invested returns priceless rewards. Parents and children may learn horseback riding together and share the adventure. Many families have gone on to purchase horses and compete or just ride the trails together. Perhaps it’s time to reconnect with the horse to find the benefits of equine activities. The horse can bring the family together in an activity that is part work-out, part therapy session and part pure exhilaration.

CRK Training Stable is proud to introduce newcomers to horses through a variety of events and activities. Our FREE Open Houses will take place on Saturdays in June from 3:00-5:00 PM. We will offer a FREE Introduction To Horses Class, Grooming & Saddling Demonstrations and Free Riding Lessons to newcomers 6 years and up. A ranch wide scavenger hunt and petting zoo will also be open along with free discount coupons for all attendees. Cheryl and the entire CRK family invite you to bring your family and friends to these free open house events.

To learn more call 714-693-4886 or visit www.crktrainingstable.com. To learn more about the Time to Ride 100 Day Horse Challenge and find an event near you, visit www.timetoride.com.

We will be needing volunteers to help with these events. If you are available to help out, please let us know! Free gift to all who come out and help. Thanks!

 061New Furry Face~

We have a new furry staff member! Just in CC Sheza Royal Robin aka “Penny”. Penny is a APHA black & white overo mare, 16 years old in June, 14.1 hands tall. She spent her early days as a Pony Club show horse and the past 7 years as a trail horse for a older lady who only “rode her to church on Sundays”. Penny wasn’t getting enough riding to keep her happy so she came to live here at CRK. Penny is very sweet and kind. She also passed her pre-purchase vet check with flying colors! Look for Penny to be in the lesson program very soon!

 Social Media~

CRK Training Stable is very active in social media, posting blogs, weather related lesson cancellations, events, etc on Facebook and LinkedIn. Please like the CRK Training Stable Facebook page and look Cheryl up on LinkedIn. Certified Horsemanship Association(CHA) Region 10 also has a Facebook page. If you are interested in what CHA Region 10 has to offer, be sure to like that page as well.
Many new customers find us through Yelp. Please help us keep the new clients coming in by writing a recommendation for us there. Thank You!

Hot Weather Tips~           As we get further into summer, the day will be getting much warmer. Some days will be downright HOT! Lessons will run as usual on hot days, so be prepared. Bring some water and wear a hat while grooming. If you want to reschedule your normal lesson time for a cooler part of the day, please do it now. Lessons won’t be rescheduled on the day of the lesson because it is hot. You may always choose an un-mounted lesson. Multiple topics are available,  just ask! A favorite on hot days is horse bathing. Just make sure you have clothes you can get wet!             Please remember that closed shoes must always be worn in the barn areas (any area north of the asphalt driveway). This rule applies to everyone, parents included! If you forgot to change out of your flip-flops, for your own safety, please remain in the parking lot or the spectator area behind the arena. Thank You!

June Make-up Lessons~ June group make-up lessons will be held on Sunday July 6, 2014 @ 10:00 AM. If you miss a group lesson in June, please contact the office to schedule your make up lesson. You must sign up to ride.
