     Region 10 Conference

Horse & Rider Requirements

  •  Horses brought to the CHA Region 10 Conference must be healthy, sound and suitable for use in a group riding situation.

  • It is highly recommended that all horses be current on routine vaccinations.

  • All riders must wear a sleeved shirt, long pants or breeches, appropriate riding boots and an ASTM/SEI approved riding helmet.

  • All riders must be at least 9 years old and capable of controlling their horse on the ground at walk and trot and mounted at a walk, trot/jog and canter/lope.

  • All riders must sign a liability release for PepperGlen Farms prior to unloading horses. Individual riding instructors may require a liability release also. Minors must have the release signed by a parent or guardian so they should be in attendance with the minor at all times.

  • During the conference(Saturday), all horses must be ridden with a saddle and bridle. No bareback riders or horses ridden with halters.  Bitless bridles, hackamores and bosal OK.  ACTHA rules shall apply on Sunday.

Facility Use Fee- All horses on the grounds must pay a facility use fee of $15.00 per day. This fee allows horses to be trailer tied. Stalls are available.  Stall fees are in addition to Facility Use Fee of $15.00 per day.

Stall Fees-

  1. Day Stall- No cover or water $10.00/day

  2. Mare Motel- 1/2 covered, automatic water $15.00/day

  3. Box Stall w/ run- Automatic water $20.00/day

            Owners must provide their own feed and bedding.  Stalls are available before and after the conference, so please let us know how many days you need. All stall and riding reservations must be made by mail. Riding spots are limited. First come- first served. See the reservation form for more details.

            NO REFUNDS OF FEES ONCE YOUR RESERVATION IS MADE.

             Possible exceptions that could, maybe, perhaps allow a refund.-

1. You are denied to ride in a session because it is full. You may remain as an alternate in case someone cancels or doesn’t show up.

2. Illness of horse. Vet certificate required. Refund only given if we are able to fill your spot with another rider.

3. Illness of rider. Doctor excuse required. Refund only given if we are able to fill your spot with another rider.
