Here’s what people are saying about us!
Tavish Colonelli- Adult Riding Student at CRK
“Thank you so much for your time Cheryl. It is because of you I have been able to regain my confidence as a rider and I appreciate that. Your teaching approach, knowledge of the horse and entire industry while maintaining a lack of snobbery (an unfortunate evil in the riding community) is second to none!”

With Cheryl’s approach to horse back riding at CRK, riders will learn and practice what they need to know. In some ways it is like life-lessons on the back of a horse. It starts with simple rules around the barns and stables, to hands on grooming, saddling, preparing the horse, developing this relationship, preparing the rider, through various preliminary and advanced lessons, and it continues on through to every aspect of horses and horseback riding so that the enjoyment as well continues to grow. We highly recommend her approach. Any rider could improve his/her skill immensely by working with Cheryl.
But in particular, for children learning to ride, Cheryl clearly knows the boundaries, what is to be expected, accepted and learned while having fun doing all of it. Our children like horse back riding now more than ever. They confidently ride Western and English and do so for the pure enjoyment of it.

CRK Training stable is a fantastic learning experience for your son or daughter. I put my daughter, Kristina, in the program five years ago. As a parent, what I appreciated the most was the teaching of safety, fundamentals, and work ethic. Surprisingly, these things are not always abundant at other stables. These basics not only made Kristina a good rider, but more importantly, she began working harder at everything and even improved her grades in school. In short, it was a great education and maturity program.
Thanks Cheryl!

Cheryl is thorough in her instruction. She cares about the horse and rider. She is very intuitive. I recommend Cheryl to anyone who is serious about riding and becoming a horse owner.”

Thank you so much for everything, you guys have an absolutely top notch spot at CRK and if Mikey continues to want to move forward with this, we know we are in great hands. I would recommend you to anyone I knew that was interested in lessons 🙂
Christy Landwehr, CEO of the Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) when she certified Cheryl as a Master Instructor:
Cheryl has been there and done that when it comes to safety around horses and she wants her students to share her passion of horses. Great with tack fit and advanced riding theory. …Great broad horsemanship knowledge. Super command of her arena. …Cheryl will be a terrific asset to CHA as Clinic Staff.

Cheryl is incredibly knowledgeable and provides a learning environment where anyone can feel, comfortable and confident around horses.

“Can we go horse back riding?” two girls asked enthusiastically.
“Well, do you know how?” asked their dad.
“No, we don’t. But can we take lessons?” they asked.
As a parent who is not a “horse person” I have to say that given what I know now, there are not many ranches I have been to where I would be comfortable with my children riding a horse.
My two girls have been taking lessons for over five years at CRK Training Stable. Horses are beautiful animals without question, but they are large, opinionated, strong and fast. If any child is to ride one of them, make sure that he or she and the horse are properly trained. Life on the back of a horse happens in the blink of an eye. And opinionated horses trump untrained opinionated children. And yet properly trained, a child will quickly ride and control these sensitive animals.

If you are serious about any sort of horse back riding then you know training is everything. Perfect practice makes perfect. All riders could improve their skill immensely by working with Cheryl. Period.
And as far as children are concerned, let someone teach them who clearly knows the boundaries, what is to be expected, accepted and learned while having fun doing all of it.
